Because Tahani Anderson Is SO 'SYTYCD'

Updated: Jul 12, 2020

Even though "all of the happiness came out" for Tahani Anderson on Paula Abdul's jacket, I want to take a step away from that viral video moment and take a hard look at the young hip-hop dancer's skills. She screams So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation to me.

Here's why:

1. Personality: She telegenic, adorable and says all the right things that make you — and Nigel — fall in love with her.

2. Talent: You saw her solid audition on Monday, now watch her dance a routine choreographed by King Guttah at the Millennium Dance Complex LA. She's dancing with other people much older than her and Tahani slays the routine. See her at the :38 mark.

She's also been a part of the lilBEASTS, Willdabeast's dance company for kids, so it's a great SYTYCD connection.

3. All Stars: I want to pair her up with Comfort Fedoke, Fik-shun or Joshua Allen right away, but show me what else she can do. I also have a feeling she's going to one who nails a contemporary routine because we know she's aware of good "facials." How about a contemporary routine with Robert Roldan? Come on, you can see it already, can't you?

I don't have any information if she makes it past The Academy round, but I hope she does. Tahani Anderson IS SYTYCD.
